Dr. Richard Storm is a leading expert in the field of Ophthalmology. He is a board-certified specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of the eye for adults and children. Dr. Storm specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, congenital eye problems, refractions, contact lenses. At his offices in Long Beach, NY and downtown Brooklyn, NY, he performs comprehensive eye examinations with the commitment to help maximize every patient’s visual abilities. He utilizes cutting-edge technology including diagnostic ultrasound, automated visual field testing, optical coherence tomography of the optic nerve and retina, and digital fundus photography. Dr. Storm is certified in the use of Botox to reduce wrinkles around the eyes and forehead.

Dr. Storm received his medical degree with high honors from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and was elected to membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. He completed residencies in Pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Storm received post-residency training in strabismus at the Columbia-Presbyterian Harkness Eye Institute. Since the completion of his training, Dr. Storm has been consistently active in teaching medical residents and is frequently an invited lecturer to Ophthalmology, Pediatric and Family Practice training programs. Dr. Storm holds affiliations at South Nassau Communities Hospital, Long Island Jewish/Northwell Health Systems and Maimonides Medical Center.
